Future Opportunities: Expanding into Food Security, Carbon Credits & Beyond
DMDO continues to expand, we seek to collaborate with organisations working in complementary areas such as food security, carbon credit projects and broader poverty alleviation. Our operational infrastructure provides a strong foundation for high-impact interventions in these fields.
Food Security
DMDO has direct experience in food security programmes through its partnership with Alongside Hope (formerly PWRDF) under the All Mothers and Children Count (AMCC) initiative and through Global Affairs Canada-funded programs.
Our existing community networks provide an ideal platform for scaling nutrition, climate-smart agriculture, and resilience programs.
Carbon Credits & Climate Resilience
DMDO has previously explored carbon credit opportunities in water supply and clean cooking stoves.
We are interested in partnering with experts in the field to develop carbon-financed models that benefit communities and drive climate resilience.
WASH+ Sponsorship
We are actively seeking a partner to pilot a direct-to-individual donor model for WASH+—similar to child sponsorship—where individuals can sponsor a household for $200. Thanks to prepaid meter technology, sponsors will be able to receive direct data and stories from the family they support, providing an unprecedented level of engagement and transparency.
Other Development Areas
Financial inclusion, small-scale entrepreneurship, and health interventions can all be integrated into DMDO’s existing community engagement framework.
